Last Week's Travels

Last week during our trip to Victoria we visited Growlers Creek Grove chestnut farm with Patrizia Simone. We arrived to Harry, an 11 year old boy, who knew everything there was to know about chestnuts, roasting them on his fire- it was truly something else! A beautiful family showed us around the chestnut trees which were first planted in 1874 on the hill side. The split chestnuts were taken from us to the pig farmer who was feeding his pigs on organic chestnuts- how about that! Read the rest...

Turandot on Sydney Harbour

Last Wednesday night I took my two eldest grandchildren to the Opera on the Sydney Harbour for the very first time. I have followed the lead singer Liù – the Slave Girl- for some time and I was so thrilled to see her sing. I can’t express the pleasure and joy that it gave me to see my grandchildren Zoe and Max enjoying their first Opera experience. Their comments? Max said “it was pure poetry!” and Zoe said it was the best things she’d ever seen! It was the most perfect Sydney night, complete with a wonderful dinner by the Harbour- MB. Read the rest...
