We arrived back from N.Z. just before midnight to our bed in the Barossa knowing I had to be up at the crack of dawn to film with Curtis Stone and his head chef Chris Flint from Maude in Los Angeles. The morning started with a live cross to the Today Show by the side of the dam; showing off a beautiful morning in the Barossa and then the fun started; cooking with Curtis and Chris looking over my shoulder quipping as cooks and chefs do about what we love; which is to cook the best produce at the peak of its season. Curtis was filming as part of a new show visiting the great wine regions of the world; not a bad gig I thought! His whole crew were an absolute delight and my youngest daughter Elli managed to pull a rabbit out of the hat and arranged last moment that we cook outside by the side of the dam. I look forward to the final cut of an hilarious day.
